The Red Brick Cafe
Brand guide and website for one of Guelph's most iconic businesses.
Repeatable is Profitable
All marketing channels were recorded, and refined down to a repeatable process that works hand-in-hand with a robust style guide.
Selling Coffee in the Digital Age
A complete redesign of the Red Brick Cafe Website brought important elements to the forefront to give customers what they're looking for.
The Red Brick Café is a Guelph Landmark, and a popular meeting spot for students and entrepreneurs alike. Since its establishment in 2004, the café has served thousands of customers and hosted over 100 local artists in its gallery.
I worked closely with the owner to establish a consistent brand voice and develop a marketing plan that was cost effective and targeted. I focused on creating repeatable processes that were easy for staff to pick up and run with. With that in mind, the Marketing Manual that I developed for the café included everything from social media scheduling to step by step usage for the new website which I designed. In the manual, I emphasized adhering to the brand voice that I developed with the owner, including the brand guide within the pages of the marketing manual.
The Red Brick Café continues to serve Guelph’s downtown core, and is not slowing down. I helped the café to design and launch their private event packages, complete with competitive research on event space in Guelph and the surrounding area, and an event booking guide which walks potential customers through the entire booking process.
